‘Boxing With Dame Judi Dench!’
A Double-dealing, Cross-Dressing, Back-Stabbing Farce, starring two desperate out of work female actors, who will do anything to get a part.
Even if it means diverting their upmarket RADA competitors to seedy ‘Pleasure Palaces’ in the Former Soviet Union.
In this they’re ‘helped’ by a Russian Lesbian Taxi Driver who usually smuggles Fake Chinese Pussies, Dumb Smartphones, and Intelligent Vibrators into the country - and equally dubious stuff out.
But the girls are also hindered by The World’s Most Annoying Customer; Britain’s Most Unsafe, Health and Safety Officer, who thinks he should be in the SAS; a Megalomaniac Hollywood Director (who really knows where the bodies are buried) and an Essex ‘Soap Queen’ who wants to open a chain of luxury Eyeliner and Nail Bars in Afghanistan.
They’re all entirely out for themselves, out of their heads, and frequently out of their clothes - which doesn’t matter as someone else will put them on as soon as they fall of.
‘Boxing with Dame Judi Dench’ is a classic 100mph farce packed with sharp one-liners and cracking knockabout physical comedy.
Although Dame Judi Dench isn’t boxing in our play, being a True Star and supporter of new talent, she is happy for us to use her name in our title.
