    Chasing The Dram

    Chasing The Dram

In the words of George Bernard Shaw “Whisky is liquid sunshine” so let the sunshine on Hebden Bridge! Thursday September 14th 2017 will see Rachel McCormack host a very special evening here at the Hinchliffe Arms. Rachel is a broadcaster and writer, known mostly as a panelist on BBC Radio 4’s The Kitchen Cabinet alongside our very own Rob Owen Brown. In 2016 Rachel set out to discover why Scotland had no tradition of cooking or eating with whisky, and the answers to that question and her search for the essence of whisky have become the subject of her first book, Chasing The Dram, the Search For The Spirit of Whisky. As Val Mcdermid said “Hard not to hate Rachel McCormack who bags the best gig of the year and then writes a brilliant book”.Rachel will be cooking and serving up a few dishes from her new book and sharing the discoveries she made whilst “Chasing The Dram”.
