Childhood Tickets

Ben Romans-Hopcraft (guitar and vocals) and Leo Dobsen (guitar) from London, UK both make the wavy pop duo called Childhood. They met while studying at the University of Nottingham and together with Daniel Salomons (bass) and Jonny Williams (drums) they formed the whole band in early 2011.

Following the release of their critically acclaimed debut single Blue Velvet in October 2012, Childhood released their double a-side single Solemn Skies digitally and on 10” vinyl on 10 June 2013 on House Anxiety / Marathon Artists. The two tracks were produced by Rory Attwell, formally of Test Icicles. The release includes a remix of “Solemn Skies” by ex-Spaceman 3 man Sonic Boom, who says of the band: “Childhood’s psych-piercing volcanic fury is the sort of thing you come across once in a summer of balmy blue moons.”
