GIANT STAR + guests
'....and on the 8th day God created Giant Star, the Future Sound Of Manchester'.

Former Space Monkeys singer Richard McNevin-Duff created Giant Star with friend and cult Mancunian guitarist John Whittaker after a warehouse party went wrong one midsummers night and it seemed like the only viable exit. Underground dub-step producer James Ritchie completed the triangle in 2012 whilst we all sat around waiting for the world to end.

In a North Manchester studio, former Stone Roses drummer Robbie Maddix supplied the beats to keep things rolling on. Denise Johnson, Manchester's finest singer of the last 20 years, dropped by, leaving her sweet voice as a gift to the tracks.
Clive Hunte and Jaydev Mistry tied up the sound with bass and percussion.

Giant Star were personally invited to play their debut show at Liam Gallagher's Pretty Green store, in their hometown of Manchester. A free gig for the people which went down a storm in the rainy city for all the Mod, Psychedelic, Northern Souls who left smiling one bright November afternoon.

Giant Star have just released their debut single 'Happy Pills' on their own independent label 'Future Sound Of Manchester'. A limited edition 500 numbered E.P. Catch it if you can.

'Year Of The Snake' the debut long player from Giant Star is to be released in February 2013 at the start of the Chinese New Year.
