Michael Head was the lead singer of The Pale Fountains. In 1988 he formed Shack alongside his brother John Head.

Shack have released six critically acclaimed albums including "The Corner of Miles & Gil" recorded on Noel Gallagher's Sour Mash label.

The Red Elastic Band is Michael's solo venture with many varied collaborators including Andy Diagram.

Michael Head famously headlined a cover of the NME with them rightly proclaiming "this is your greatest songwriter."
