On 9th April 2011 Turin Brakes played what turned out to be one of the favourite shows of their career at The Kazimier, Liverpool. A warm sunny afternoon gave way to a mild, languid late spring evening and the buzz of the Grand National that afternoon still hung over the city. The politely febrile crowd erupted when the band took to the stage and their fever remained highly pitched throughout the show as they played classic after classic, including Pain killer, Emergency 72 and Future Boy, and finished with a rousing take on the Neil Young belter 'Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere'.

It was with much sadness that the band learned of the impending closure of what has become a great Liverpool institution at the end of this year, and so the band return for a special one off show at The Kazimier before it closes it's doors for the final time. Work on a new album is well underway and a greatest hits set can be expected to be interspersed with an exclusive outing for a couple of new tunes.
