    Room D

    Room D

Room D are a 5-piece indie rock band fresh to the Manchester scene. Originally formed in September 2017 as a college music group, the band consisted of drummer Paddy Cusack, bass player Harry Bruce, rhythm guitarist and singer Jake Spellman, and lead guitarist Lyle Cross. During their early months, they began to gain college-wide recognition for their outstanding performances around the establishment. However, the band didn’t progress beyond the depths of canteen sessions until lead singer, Callum McPartland, joined in March 2018 and realised the bands true musical capability. Their first single, “Boys in Suits” was a massive crowd-pleaser, gaining them city wide acknowledgement by other bands and promoters. Revelling in the success of their initial summer hit, the band went on to write further tracks “Spotlight” and “Cascade”. With material worthy of an EP project under their belts, the band began to venture into the Manchester gig circuit, with their first gig at The Deaf Institute being a huge success, landing them a place at Band on the Wall less than two weeks later. After receiving offers of travelling to Leeds and Liverpool, the band felt it right to stick to their roots and agreed on their first headline show at Factory 251, Manchester. Room D’s fire and dynamism is undoubtably unparalleled; they are guaranteed to put on an energetic show. Now working on their first full-length debut, they are set to pave the way for another generation of hit Manchester music.
