The Best Of Friends Tickets

This lovely play, is adapted from  the letters of an unusual triumvirate of gentle, learned souls who exchanged ideas during the first half of the last century. In 1924, George Bernard Shaw’s friend Sir Sydney Cockerill, introduced him to Dame Laurentia McLachlan, a Benedictine nun. The three enjoyed a vigorous friendship for over 25 years. Their discussions covered the widest range of topics - from the existence of God to the finer points of Tango dancing.  Quite why a nun and two atheists should have become such close, if long-range, friends is a tale that Hugh Whitemore tells well.
