THE ANIMALS

Over 16 years since the breakup of The Animals and Animals II in 2001, three of the original and founder band members of ‘Hilton Valentine’s Animals’, ‘The Animals’, and ‘Animals II’ (who were ultimately responsible for the successful reincarnation of The Animals in the 1990’s featuring Hilton Valentine and John Steel) still all continue to perform and tour together, keeping the 40 year heritage of the band based within its Tyneside roots, and continue their legacy of The Animals with the third Generation of the band. Featuring the hits, House of the Rising Sun, you Got to Get out of this place, Boom and many more.

THE SWINGING BLUE JEANS

The Swinging Blue Jeans were originally founded by Ray Ennis and Les Braid.  In 1962, they were signed to a recording contract by HMV Records and their debut single It’s Too Late Now in 1963 just crept into the British charts at Number 30.  Their next single Hippy Hippy Shake crashed into the Hit Parade in 1964 and just fell short of the Number 1 slot.  Their follow-up release, Good Golly Miss Molly followed suit and their next single You’re No Good reached Number 3 in Britain. They famously engaged in a punch up with the Rolling Stones  at the BBC studios during recording of the first show of Top of the Pops as a result of an argument over a ball point pen for signing autographs.  Today the band is fronted by Alan Lovell and along with Peter Oakman, Jeff Bannister and Graham Hollingsworth, continue touring the UK theatres with The Sixties Invasion.
