The Slow Revolt first surfaced in late 2011 via an inclusion on Patten’s Fact Mix 285. Anyone able to navigate their way through 50 minutes of eclectic sound and song was rewarded with an early glimpse of This Dark Matter.
Later, The Slow Revolt’s rework of Patten’s Peachy Swan rose up through the blogosphere. A clustering, pulsing rework that coaxed & cajoled the original into straighter rhythms and melodies, it fused with a voice that stuck with you long after the final moments of the track. What made The Slow Revolt was beginning to surface.
After a year of development and fine-tuning, The Slow Revolt is what happens when the backburner bursts in to flames.
