CIT Short Story Class Tickets
This course is open to all writers, whether you are very new to creative writing or have some experience already. The course will provide you with some time, space and inspiration to develop your craft, voice and style.
With structured feedback on your work from other course participants and the tutor, some practical theory and writing activities during the session, it will be a relaxed, enjoyable, inclusive and encouraging space to explore your creativity.
Over the course of three workshops, you will get the chance to have your writing professionally and peer critiqued, and gain the tools and information needed for submitting work in the future.
Led by David Gaffney (author, Sawn Off Tales, ) with additional guest speakers to be confirmed.
This event is delivered in partnership with Business Bolton.
There will be four session in total as part of this event, covered by the cost of one ticket. The dates are as follows:
11th October, 25th October, 8th November, 22nd November 2016. All at 6.30-9pm
The sessions will take place at St George's Gallery, St George's House, Bolton, BL1 2EN
About the speaker
David Gaffney is the author of Sawn-off Tales (2006), Aromabingo (2007), Never Never (2008), The Half-life of Songs (2010) and his latest collection of short stories, More Sawn-Off Tales ( 2013). His story The Staring Man is featured in the 2016 collection Best British Short Stories.
David's new Novel, All The Places I've Ever Lived, is out in February 2017 on Urbane, and his graphic novel with Dan Berry, The Three Rooms In Valerie's Head, is out in March 2017 on Top Shelf.
