The Oystercatchers

The Oystercatchers are Gerry Griffin, Jade Goddard and Chris Briggs, a close harmony singer/songwriter trio with Americana influences from Moniaive, Dumfries and Galloway. The Oystercatchers recorded their debut EP "The One Who Holds The Gold" at the end of 2013.

They are fast making a name for themselves in the region, with various performances in the past two years including playing at The Coach and Horses, Dumfries as part of The Big Burns Supper, Electric Fields and The Mill Sessions. They perform a mixture of original material and covers.

Nadine Stah White has been singing and performing with the autoharp for over 40 years - on both sides of the Atlantic. Originally from the USA, she has lived in the UK since 1980. Her repertoire is wide-ranging - with songs both modern and old, including some of the American Old-Time music which is especially associated with the autoharp. But she is also a prize-winning instrumental player, either solo or with others, especially enjoying sets of tunes from across the British Isles.

Nadine was the founding secretary of the UK Autoharps club, and she regularly leads autoharp workshops at events in the UK and abroad. Since moving to Scotland ten years ago, she has become the leader of monthly meetings of the Southwest Scottish Autoharpers group. She is the programme organiser for the Scottish Autoharp Weekend, which happens every summer in Moniaive. ScAW 2015 - the fifth Scottish Autoharp Weekend - will happen over 24th, 25th and 26th July.
