One of the brightest stars in the 80s new wave sky, Altered Images are best remembered for their no.1 single 'Happy Birthday'. Their bubbly lead singer Claire Grogan originally shot to fame in the film 'Gregory's Girl', then later went on to appear in 'Red Dwarf', 'EastEnders', 'Skins' and was a presenter on music station VH1.
ALTERED IMAGES quickly had worldwide success, selling millions of records, which topped the charts in several countries. They recorded 3 Top 10 Albums and had 6 UK TOP 40 hits. They were voted BEST NEW GROUP at the NME awards the same year they were invited to play at THE ROYAL COMMAND PERFORMANCE.
