Rossendale’s annual SKA festival returns August bank Holiday weekend at St Mary’s Chambers on Sunday 25th August 2024. This year we have decided to spice things up a little with the addition of Punk and Mod and we are sure that this is our biggest and best line up yet.
The line-up features some of the best local Ska / Mod and Punk acts on the circuit.
Headlined this year by the mighty Midlife. Midlife are no strangers to the venue and have appeared in 2 out of 3 of our previous events.
Britain’s premier 7 piece Ska/2 Tone Covers Band, delivering a high energy and extremely entertaining set, brilliantly covering the likes of Madness, The Specials, Bad Manners etc. They tour the national circuit and are regular support band with Max Splodge for Buster Blood Vessel and the Bad Manners band, when they tour the Northwest and the Midlands.
They are also a regular band on the main stage at The Great British Alternative Music Festival, which is held at Butlins Resorts at both Minehead and Skegness. They have also played alongside the likes of The Stranglers, Bad Manners, The Undertones, Sham 69, The Addicts, The Exploited, Cockney Rejects, Theatre of Hate, Spizzenergy, Angelic Upstarts, and Anti-Nowhere League etc.

The brilliant Skafull - The Lively six-piece band hailing from Burnley, with brass section, perform classic covers taking in ska, 2-Tone and reggae and have a huge following in the North West.
Pretty Green (A Tribute to The Jam) - A high octane, hugely popular local tribute to The Jam. Playing all the greatest hits from the kings of Mod.
Complete Control - The Super popular, local punk and OI covers band play a variety of covers by some of the biggest bands from the genre, local heroes and a guaranteed crowd pleaser.
With DJ Andy playing all things Ska/Mod from doors opening at 4pm, in between the bands and afterwards until late and a fully stocked bar, open all afternoon and night to keep everyone in the mood to dance the night away. Food also available.
